This was probably;y the fastest piece I have cranked out to date. Fastest as in, the least amount of time on the computer, not as in, I actually got it done on time. I started toying with some shading on Alberto in the first panel and decided that it takes entire too much work to do that in Illustrator. I could probably pull it into Photoshop, but then I’d fuss at it for months.

I had been playing around with the idea of pre-creating some templates of the characters’ heads and bodies and doing some mis-matching here and there, with occasional redraws as the story dictated, but I have found that I like the dynamics that I get out of creating new art, even at the expensive of continuity in the character’s looks. But since I have the luxury of color on my side, I decided to let that help tell the story of which lines and blobs are who.
